A former sergeant with the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Joseph Sordi has held positions with the NYPD Organized Crime Control Bureau, the NYPD Hazardous Agents Materials Mitigation Emergency Response Team, the NYPD Intelligence and the Transit Divisions as well as Commissioner Bratton’s newly formed Strategic Response Group tasked with combating terrorism, active shooters and civil unrest. While employed with the NYPD, Joseph Sordi simultaneously taught courses and developed programs as an adjunct professor for Baruch College of the City University of New York.
Joseph Sordi began his 13-year affiliation with Strategic Security Corp. (SSC) in 2003 while he was still working for both Baruch College and the NYPD. After serving four years as an SSC operations manager, he accepted a promotion to his current position of managing director. This promotion placed Mr. Sordi in charge of a multimillion dollar budget with full profit and loss responsibility. He also directed security guard services that span more than 22 states and accumulate more than 350,000 man-hours on an annual basis.
