An experienced law enforcement and security professional, Joseph Sordi serves as managing director of the risk management firm Strategic Security Corp. in New York City. In addition to his professional pursuits, Joseph Sordi supports several nonprofit groups including Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) recently celebrated a significant milestone, surpassing more than $250 million in lifetime benefits secured for wounded veterans since the launch of its Benefits Service Program–an organizational record. The program was launched as a means of helping these veterans secure the financial and medical assistance they need to help them with their long-term recovery by providing assistance in dealing with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, and other veterans service organizations.

One of the main drivers in helping these veterans is WWP’s Benefits Claim Day, where a concerted effort to encourage veterans to sit down in face-to-face interviews with WWP personnel who can help them with their individual cases. In total, the WWP received higher than a 90 percent approval rating for its work helping veterans claim their benefits.
